Dr. Almutlaq completed her General Surgery Residency, followed by a Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at McGill University. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) and a member of multiple national and international associations, including the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).  She currently practices as a bariatric surgeon at Westmount Square Surgical Center in Montreal.
