Dr. Rishi Handa is the Medical Director at Durham Care Clinic, Director of the Durham Care Diabetes Education Program, and Director of Research at Handa Medicine Research and Centricity Oshawa.
Dr. Handa began his medical career in New Jersey, USA, where he held the positions of Chief Resident, Instructor of Medicine, and Cardiac Rehabilitation Supervisor. With this extensive experience, he currently practices as an internal medicine specialist at Durham Care Clinic in Oshawa.
His professional interests are wide-ranging, with particular focus on diabetes, thyroid diseases, weight management, and cardiology. Dr. Handa serves as a Collaborating Physician at multiple diabetes education centers, where he plays an active role in advancing diabetes care and education within the community. His dedication to education extends beyond patient care, as he frequently presents and shares his expertise with fellow healthcare providers.
In his role as Principal Investigator at Centricity Research, Dr. Handa leads pioneering research efforts targeting cardio-metabolic disorders, contributing to the expansion of medical knowledge and the advancement of healthcare practices.
